Overview

Embark on an exhilarating snorkeling and diving adventure to witness one of nature's marvels, the Great Barrier Reef. Depart from Cairns on a 35-meter superyacht and venture into the vast ocean. Once you arrive at the reef, immerse yourself in the vibrant underwater world and observe it up close by snorkeling or diving. You will visit two different spots on the reef to witness more of its uniqueness.

Itinerary

Stop At:   Reef Fleet Terminal 

Check-in at Reef Fleet Terminal. Check-in commences at 7.15am and ends at 7.45am. The boat, Evolution, will depart at 8am sharp.

Stop At:   Great Barrier Reef 

After boarding your deluxe boat, your Great Barrier Reef day trip starts with the boat ride from Cairns out to the reef—one of the fastest rides from Cairns. Depending on the weather and water conditions on the day of your tour, the captain will head to one of 12 exclusive moorings, providing you with the best possible on-the-water experience that day. Upon arrival at your first reef location, either Saxon or Norman Reef, it’s time to snorkel and dive! Hop in the water with your provided equipment and discover the underwater world full of multicoloured fish, coral, and other marine life. Your guides help you to get fitted with snorkel and scuba diving equipment, and provide instruction and encouragement to beginners and the experienced. Your friendly and knowledgeable crew is always available to help you enjoy your time in the water.

Stop At:   Great Barrier Reef 

After a morning of water activities, it is time to enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the crew. Enjoy a BBQ lunch prepared on board with fresh fish, steak, a variety of salads, and prawns. Special dietary requirements can be catered for too including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian. Please notify the operator at least 24 hours prior to travel.

Stop At:   Great Barrier Reef At the second reef location, North Hastings Reef, you can snorkel or dive again. If you prefer to stay dry, you can still check out this World Heritage-listed underwater world on a semi-submersible tour with live commentary by our marine biologist (own expense; payable on the day of your tour. Semi-Submersible is operational again from the 19 December) or from above with a 10-minute scenic helicopter ride (additional cost).

Stop At:   Great Barrier Reef On the return trip to Cairns, snack on complimentary afternoon tea and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine to celebrate the end of your day on the sea. Fully licensed bar to purchase additional snacks and drinks!
